How You Feel When Reading a Good Book

Anyone who is an avid reader can relate to some or all of these emotions while reading a new favorite.

You decide to start a new book from your favorite author or one that you've highly anticipated.

Ya know that feeling you get when you first start a book and you know that it's going to be a good one?  You've read maybe a chapter or two and you can already tell that it will be a favorite.

The plot starts to get good and it's all you can think about when you're not reading it.  You consider calling out of work and/or missing sleep to read just one more chapter.

You fall in love with the characters and the life that the author has built.

Then you realize that you are halfway done the book and it's all down hill from there.  You start reading slower and less frequently because you can't stand the thought of the book ending.

Or you get to the end and it obliterates your heart.  You're surrounded by tissues and you are found in the fetal position holding the book.

You start recommending to anyone and everyone who will listen to you.

You still think about it weeks later and wonder what the characters are doing now.
